"I had occasion to take my teenage daughter to one of the dermatologists at Auckland Skin & Cancer Foundation for an excision and body check. She is very uncomfortable with anything medical, and is also extremely shy regarding her body. As a consequence, I was expecting some resistance throughout the consultation. To my grateful surprise, the doctor put her completely at ease in the first couple of minutes. He spoke with her directly, whilst still including me, treating her as an intelligent young adult, but with patience, kindness, and respect. After the excision and body check, I asked her how she felt about going back again. She said she liked her specialist and trusted him if she required any further surgery. What a relief!" L Carswell
